shots from the rough

50-60 Rough - Always hit your wedges and never hit an iron from this rough. You will get about 50% of the total distance from this rough.

40-50 Rough - Under 100 yards add about 15% to your shot over 100 yards go up two clubs.

                          For shots around the green and less than 50 yards only add 10% extra distance for these shots. When pitching from this                                        rough you will get extra roll so hit it a yard or two shorter but never add distance for a pitch shot. The penalty does not matter.

30-40 Rough - For long shots the 3 wood hit with a punch shot. It will go at 180 to 210 yards.

                         On your irons add about 10% more distance and use full backspin to what you have calculated after taking wind and elevation                             into account. Shots over 100 Yards may require more than 10% adjustment.

 

25-30 Rough - These shots will need an extra 5% distance.

​20-25 Rough - On your irons adds 2% more distance to what you have calculated after taking wind and elevation into account.
