James' Unique Tournaments

James has come up with two quite Unique Tournaments for the club.

They were only added in 2024, but quickly became very popular - and are now well established in the clubs tournament calendar.

The1st of his tournaments he called

The 'Mid-Week Special' Tournament.

This is a

4 day tournament with 'unlimited play'.

Surprisingly, it begins on the Tuesday of each week!

Don't be fooled into thinking this is an easy tournament to win though.

James varies the settings (depending on his mood when he wakes up on Tuesday mornings!!)

He records all scores each week and an award is given to the member who can accumulate the least number of shots taken at the end of each month

(members have to have played in all that month's tournaments, to be a contender)

The 2nd of his Tournament he called

The ' MID WEEK ODDS AND EVENS' Tournament

This one is very unique!

Like his 1st Tournament, it is also a

4 day tournament with 'unlimited play'.

Surprisingly, it begins on the Tuesday of each week as well!

The first week was set on 'Holes 1' of a selection of courses.

Each week he keeps the same courses but changed the holes - 'holes 2', 'holes 3', 'holes 4' etc etc.

The settings are as 'varied' as in his 1st Tournament - and have proved extremely challenging'!

He once again records all scores each week and an award is given to the member who can accumulate the least number of shots taken at the end of each month

(members have to have played in all that month's tournaments, to be a contender)

Such an innovative and unique tournament, deserves a unique award, and so one was created - see below for how they look!
