Bunker Shots

The majority of players flop from the sand but I don't. I prefer pitch shots and punch shots.

 

 

30-40 Fairway Bunker - You can punch any iron from this bunker.

40-50 or 50-60 Fairway Bunker - Only use a wedge, never use your irons. This is the best you can do.

 

Long Bunker Shot - 60 yards to 30 yards - This is the easiest shot. I figure the distance then add the lower penalty number as a percent.

                                                                      A 50 yard shot from a 30-40 bunker - add 15 yards (half of lower penalty number) and use either a                                                                          punch or a full shot

                                                                      Make sure the backspin goes down to the level of the sand
