Reports on the matches - as documented by The Management:
Sue v Dave:
Well, Dave and I had a very very nice game. A/S most holes but I had a few boom booms which helped a lot.
So The Boss won, thank you for a very good game Dave.
Ron v Hamish:
Well, I will be the first management to be beaten. Sue is going to kill me lol, first of all a big congratulations to Hamish on a great round.
This was a match for the ages, in NFL terms it went into 5 overtimes before a winner was produced. Hamish was putting lights out; I would punch but Hamish would always have a counter punch. I was just too punch drunk at the finish.
There will be songs written about this match!!
Great Job Hamish!!!!!
Brian v Eve:
Being a true English gentleman, I did, in front of witnesses, give Eve the chance to just give me the match instead of being humiliated by a very old, legend who should be playing from the super senior tees. She refused my offer.
I went ahead on the 2nd hole then feeling sorry for her, let her take the 3rd. Realising she was an ex marine who would not give up. I took the 4th and stayed one ahead throughout the rest of the match.
It was a great game, tremendous company and for anyone interested I have a large number of personal snippets of information that I might pass on for a small fee.
Thanks Eve. Always a pleasure
Les v Brad:
Brad and I had a very friendly game... it was very close all the way!
Brad went 1 up on the 2nd, I pulled it back to A/S on the 3rd.
Brad went 1 up again on the 7th, I pulled it back to A/S on the 8th.
Brad had a chance to putt out to win on the 9th but missed his 16ft putt (by a whisker!!).
As we were still A/S after 9 holes, we downed a nice ice cold beer (well I did anyway lol)....and we went on....
We were still A/S after the 10TH.
On the 11th, I miraculously sunk a 15ft putt. Brad needed to sink his 8ft putt to take us to yet another hole.
Unfortunately he missed by a whisker again, and so the win went to me.
A great game, in great company. Thank you for the game Brad.
James v Mike:
Had a very good game against Mike who stood in for Jeff. Managed to claim the win , had a nice chat all the same with a nice guy.
Mikey v Steve:
Mikey beat Steve 4 and 2
Round 2:
Skins (9 Holes) Course: Congressional F 9 Format: One V One
Scoring: Total Skins won - turned into points.
Order of play round 2
Sue (6) v Eve (2)
Ron (6) v Jeff (3)
Brian (4) v Brad (5)
Mikey (3) v Dave (6)
James (6) v Steve (3)
Les (9) v Hamish (0)
Reports on the matches - as documented by The Management:
Sue v Eve:
I had a lovely game with Eve I think at times we were both trying to lose rather than win lol. But in the end The Boss won 6 - 2.
Ron v Jeff:
Jeff and I had a close match all the way, going into the last hole. I was fortunate to escape with a 6-3 win, Jeff had 3 lip outs. Had those went in I would be writing a different story.
Congrats to Jeff on a well-played game.
Hopefully Sue will let me out of Elsa's dungeon lol
Brian v Brad:
Had a very good game with Brad - he took the first fours skins on the 4th, I got one back on the 5th, Brad got one on the 6th and I finally managed to get 3 on the last. Brad won with 5 skins and I got 4.
I guess I will not make a formal complaint, but the witch of the victims (Eve) was listening in on our call and I heard several chants whilst we were playing. Think she cast many spells during the match.
Great fun Brad, really enjoyed playing with you.
Mikey v Dave:
No report was files for this match, but it was won by Dave!
James v Steve:
Had a great game against Steve and managed to win 6 skins against his 3.
Les v Hamish:
This must go down as one of the shocks of the round! I honestly did not expect to come away with any skins!!
Les actually won!! 9 - 0.
The score does not reflect the game we played though!
Hamish was unbelievably unlucky on a few holes.. his putts either missing by a whisker, or lipping out.
There were only 3 holes where the skins were won... Hole 2, Hole 5 and hole 9.
Thank you for the game Hamish, and the lovely company. I am sure I will not win too many games against you in the future!

Report on this round - as documented by a Management Representative (Les):
In this round each 'Team' needed to achieve a combined total yardage lower than the other 'Team'.
This was a round where even if an individual does not manage a particularly low yardage,
their teammates could help them out by scoring low, winning the overall lowest yardage
and thereby all team members gaining 3 points (for a total of 18 for the team).
This was the first time the WHOLE team rely on one another for points.

With the 'draw' then made - it was all down to which 'pair' could work together to come away victorious!
It was a clean sweep in this round by The Management Team

Report on this round - as documented by a Management Representative ( Les):
With so many points available in this, the final round of the tournament, a lot was riding on it!
Once again, the Team Captains drew up their 'order of play' and the tournament was set.
The Management Team won 5 of the 6 matches, but the 'longest drive' element of this round provided 'The Victims' Team members with a possibility to stage a late comeback (they had several 'big hitters' in their team).
However, with two 'Management' players posting high 'long drives' (Sue and Les),
it became apparent any 'dreams of a comeback' were not going to materialise.
